The Grade Genie Widget

What is it?

The Grade Genie Widget is a widget available for Apple's Dashboard utility available in recent versions of OS X. It's completely free to use, just like Grade Genie.

What do I need to use it?

There are only two requirements to use the Grade Genie widget. As long as you have a Macintosh running OS X 10.4 or newer (you can find out which version you are using by chosing "About This Mac" from the Apple menu) and a free Grade Genie account (you can register ) you're all set.

How do I get the widget?

All you have to do is download the widget by clicking on it's picture on this page, or clicking here. Once it has been dowloaded, just unzip it and then double click on it to start the installation. You will need to agree to the prompt to finish installation. The widget will then be added to your dashboard automatically.

How does it work?

When you first use the Grade Genie Widget, you will want to enter your Grade Genie username and password on the back side (which you will be prompted to do). Once you have, the widget will show you a list of your courses and how many notes are uploaded into each one, just like your My Schedule page. The widget updated the list every time you show it, so it always has the latest information for you. Note that since the widget remembers your password, you shouldn't install it on public computers. To get the most out of the widget, please make sure to use the "Keep me logged in" feature of Grade Genie.

What can I do if I can't get the widget to work?

If you have any problems with the widget, please contact us at info@gradegenie.com (or click here) and tell us what's going on and we'll be glad to help.
